Orbus Ministries Australia Inc. (ABN 14 458 768 638) is a Public Benevolent Institution endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) covered by Item 1.

Tax-deductible donations can be made by Electronic Funds Transfer:

A/C Name: Orbus Ministries Australia Inc
Bank: Bank of Melbourne/Westpac
BSB: 333 038

Account No: 553 913 774

Donations to Orbus Ministries Australia Inc. are tax-deductible. If you require a receipt for this, please make your donation payments as follows and contact [email protected] to provide contact details for a receipt be sent to you. General donations are directed according to areas deemed of most need by the Board. Donations can be directed to specific areas by donors.

Donations for the Schools and Orbus Future Projects (OFP) including wells/pumps, solar projects, tree planting, fuel-efficient stoves, building orphan homes, skills development centre and university are tax deductible in Australia as part of Orbus’ commitment to providing relief and development in Malawi.

As a not-for-profit, volunteer run charity Orbus in Australia has historically had almost no administration costs. Since 2007 close to 100% of donations have been used directly for projects. No Australian management or volunteers have been paid or had their expenses paid from general donations made to Orbus. No Australian management, board or volunteers have been paid in Malawi or in Australia. Since 2017 donations can be, and have been, made to specifically cover some of these expenses and given the planned OFP expansion it may be that a paid Australian worker will be required to help implement the new projects from 2023 or 2024.

If you are interested in supporting the Schools or Future Projects please specify on your donation. Likewise, if you are interested in specifically supporting a paid Australian worker, as a separate element of the project, possibly allowing for a speedier development of the plans, please specify this on your donation.

Non-tax-deductible donations can be made to put Bibles into the hands of prisoners in Malawi. For a minor administration cost Orbus Australia can buy Chichewa language Bibles direct from the Bible Society in Blantyre and have them distributed by our local partners directly to prisoners in Malawi. Please contact Craig Manners directly to facilitate this at [email protected]

Online Donations:
Some donations may be made with specific instructions/requests by the donors for the use of the funds. Otherwise, all general donations are used at the discretion of the Orbus board. Your donations are not taken for granted and are greatly appreciated. Thank you.
