God Never Changes.
“I the Lord do not change. So you, the descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed." (Malachi 3:6)
No matter how stormy and chaotic things get in our lives and world, no matter how much each day seems to bring more changes, more struggles, more relationship stresses, more overwhelming things like fire storms, pandemics, wars, financial storms and weather storms, one thing remains the same: God.
He was in full control yesterday, is still today and will be again tomorrow. "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." (Hebrews 13:8) "The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.” (Isaiah 40:8)
As consumption of news media about our chaotic world escalates and causes increased anxiety, God's people could try consuming more of God's word the Bible which reduces anxiety and increases a sense of calmness. Try it. Pick up a Bible and start reading Psalm 46 for example and see if that lifts your eyes heavenward and away from the earthly chaos.
