Joy Follows Weeping
"Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning." (Psalm 30:5).
"The voice of weeping shall be no more heard." (Isaiah 65:19) "‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” (Rev. 21:4)
God's people will one day weep no more. All the causes of sadness are earthly, temporary and will disappear. There will one day be no such thing for you as a broken heart, broken relationships, failed dreams, lost wealth, lost reputations, lost health, lost loved ones, depression, loneliness.
Our earthly lot will be replaced by heavenly treasure, eternal security, peace and joy. No selfish agendas, no broken relationships, no pride, no misunderstandings, no corrupt motives, no betrayals, no wars, famines, fire-storms, pandemics, poverty, sickness or death.
Come into the presence of God, as the psalmist did in Psalm 73, and see how fleeting our troubles really are. Wipe your tears, lift your eyes to heaven and anticipate the morning.
Joy is coming. All is well.
